Dance It Away

“Dance is the hidden language of the soul…” – Martha Graham

I’d like to think Thoreau was a dancer. I can picture him in a meditative ballet warmed by the sunshine coming through his cabin window, or quick-stepping his way through Walden Woods, perhaps meandering gracefully across the ice on Walden Pond.  I read somewhere Thoreau was an excellent skater.

During my first “100 Days Project,” (for me 100 days of dance) I realized at some point around day 50 or so, that life is a dance. Life feels so much lovelier when we “dance it away.”
